The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I left Penn State after the birth of our second child. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree working full time at Westinghouse Electric in Pittsburgh and attending night school. I started in Electrical Engineering but made my mark in Mechanical Engineering principally in the Nuclear Power generation industry. I retired to consulting in 2000 after a great career in aging management of welds and materials in pressure piping and components for several industries. The Happy Valley scene is very much alive in our life in South Carolina. We enjoy a very active Alumni Club that represents Penn State very well in the Aiken, SC/Augusta, GA area. Annual community work projects, an alumni fund raiser golf tournament, provides scholarships to local PSU students, frequent gatherings throughout the year, we watch all football games together, and a van loaded with local Alumni travels the 1500 miles round trip to attend every home football game. We always attend games and support our athletes that come to our area to compete. The past few years a member hosts a picnic for our golf team in the spring. Our club marches in the Home Coming Parade of course with the Masters Golf Tournament theme. WE ARE PENN STATE!!!!
